THE STORY OF Evil ED + KELLY
ED
Ed has been involved in the rock hobby for more than half a century.
Before rocks took over, his interests included model rocketry and a curiosity into the natural world. However, the rock hobby proved impossible to leave behind because what caught Ed’s attention is that no two are exactly alike.
After decades at rock shows, Ed has seen the very best of the hobby and the very worst. These experiences shaped the values behind Evil Ed’s: tell the truth, respect the customer, and never let a sale become more important than the experience.
Most days, you can find Ed himself greeting visitors when you walk through the door. Ask him a question and you’ll leave with an answer, a story, or an entirely new world to consider.
KELLY
Kelly brings her own love of nature and storytelling to the shop.
Together, she and Ed have spent more than 10 years participating in rock shows and more than 25 years assisting a respected gemologist named Pat. That experience introduced them to an enormous range of stones, minerals, fossils, and connections with other collectors.
Kelly also helps shape the welcoming nature of the shop, so don’t be afraid to strike up a conversation at any time. She’s always delighted to speak on her experience and educate customers with questions.

From dairy barn to clandestine discoveries.
The building that houses Evil Ed’s has its own history.
Dating back to the 1920s, the space once served as a dairy barn. At one point, a cow stood where visitors now explore all that the shop has to offer.
Today, the building’s wood and connection to the land make it a fitting home for a shop centered on nature and discovery.
Future plans include continuing to develop the space and adding a greenhouse-inspired element that brings even more of the natural world into the experience.
